Chartered in 1950, Sutter County Republican Women Federated (SCRWF) officially became Sutter-Yuba Republican Women Federated (SYRWF) in June 2009. We are affiliated with the National Federation of Republican Women, "the largest women's volunteer political organization in the world," and with the California Federation of Republican Women. We are "Women In Numbers," from all fifty states, and proud to be the educational arm of the Republican family. We study the issues and create a forum for Republican leaders to speak to us about current events; pride ourselves on our advocacy positions; are active in local, state, and national campaigns; and are committed to educating our members, our young people, and our communities on the issues that affect us all.
SYRWF members are residents of Yuba and Sutter Counties. We support our communities and have been a member of the Yuba-Sutter Chamber of Commerce for many years. Our elected officers serve for a two-year term. We publish a comprehensive monthly newsletter, which we mail to our members and sponsors. SYRWF has one membership meeting a month, normally a luncheon at Ruthy's on the third Thursday of the month, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Spouses, friends, family, and other guests are always welcome. We sometimes opt for a dinner meeting to accommodate our guest speaker's schedule or for special events, such as Candidates' Night. Luncheon and dinner meetings include noteworthy speakers on topics of community interest. We hiatus July and August. Please check the Coming Events section for scheduled meetings and events.
